A Day No Pigs Would Die

I believe that the story, A Day No Pigs Would Die shows a part in time that we don’t really think about; even though it was a time that resembles the way some people still have to live now a day due to poverty in our country. When you read this book and start to understand the things people in poverty have to do to stay alive it makes you think about how some of them still have to wake up early and do chores, possibly even on a farm. Although you may still have chores like take out the trash or make your bed every day that still doesn’t compare to have to do chores that require hard labor, like planting or painting fences. It was a very interesting story and although it was a sad ending they still had good times along the way, like when they went to the Rutland Fair. The boy’s father had a big part in Roberts life and even though he died I think he will still make a big impact on his life as he gets older and remembers what he was like and what he might of done in different situations.
